September 20, 2011 No Comments » – Nita Aartsen, a pianist with the group consisting of Indro Hardjodikoro (bass), Saat Borneo (flute) and Erlan Suwardana (kendang) is scheduled to leave for the land of Uncle Sam’s on Tuesday evening (20/9).

They will perform for Komodo Night in Chicago presented by @the_marketeers at Navy Pier, Sept 22 US CST 18PM or Sept 23 WIB 6AM.

Nita said that she planned to perform several songs from her album collaborating classical and jazz music with Latin plus a few works such as Benggong-Banggong, IE and Komodo Dreams with a touch of tropical sound.

“We will also involve local drummer,” said Nita. The event is an activity of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of RI held by the Marketeers.

Whatever it is, we hope that the concert of Nita Aartsen Quattro for Komodo Night in Chicago will make success and able to attract tourists, especially from Chicago to come to the exotic of Komodo island.

Komodo Night program was previously held in Bali and Sydney Australia. This activity is a response to the decision to withdraw Komodo from the status as a finalist of seven wonders of the world held by N7WN.

KNP’s attraction itself is the Komodo dragon (Varadus komodoensis) which is truly the only living Dragon on earth.
