Top 10 Budget Hotels in Komodo National Park Areas

July 7, 2011 No Comments » – We are recommends some great-value places to stay – all for less than €100. Finding a decent place to stay in Komodo National Park Areas below €100 a night. It is a pretty expensive place these days.

PHKA Camps
PHKA Camps (Perlindungan Hutan Pengawatan Alam – Indonesian Forestry Service) have wooden cabins on still with balconies. Each cabin contains Spartan rooms with well-weathered mattresses, a sitting area and a mandi. The peak season – around July-August – the rooms may be full, but extra mattresses will be rustled up so everyone is accommodated. Both camps have restaurants with a limited menu of nasi/mie goreng, fish, and other simple meals, plus drinks.

Hotel Wisata
Offer a choice of rooms, from bog standard but serviceable to smart and modern, although it is in a less appealing stretch of town. Hotel Wisata is one of cheap hotels in Labuanbajo, Room with No AC, but have fan, inside bath room, but no shower.

Garden Hostel
This well-run hotel, the most popular place in town, offers neat, well-spaced wooden bungalows. the bungalows are dotted around a leafy hillside plot and most have fine harbour views from their verandas.

Bajo Beach Hotel
Set back off the road, these plain, tiled rooms have ceiling fans and bathrooms with western toilets

Chez Felix
Set in a quiet location above the bay and run by a friendly family who all speak good English, this is a good option, with neat, clean, and comfortable rooms. also has a restaurant

Golo Hilltop
Dutch-run place that enjoy a terrific location high above Labuan Bajo Bay. The unlovely-looking concreate rooms are functional and well kept, and there’s a restaurant

Bajo Komodo Eco Lodge
This place exudes class and has a whiff of colonial style. Located in expansive grassy grounds, the imposing house has eight light, airy and spacious rooms. There’s a lovely lounge with rattan seating and books to browse through, and a pool not far from the so-so beach. Five more cottages are planned. Free airport transports are available.

Serayu Island Bungalow
Get-away-from-it-all bliss on Pulau Serayu, an hour from Labuan Bajo. Offer simple bamboo lodgings with mandis set on a white-sand beach, and there’s offshore snorkling. Food prices here are not much more than on the mainland. there’s a minimum two-night stay; contact the Gardena Hotel to get here

Kanawa island Bungalows
On Pulau Kanawa, which you can walk around in a couple of hours, 45 minutes by boat from Labuan Bajo. The beach and snorkling are excellent, and there’s basic bungalow accommodation, a few hammocks and restaurant. contact the Kanawa office opposite the Gardena Hotel for a free ride.
